How to Upload Your Website Files

Website files for most hosting accounts belong in the public_html directory.

Option 1: File Manager

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Open File Manager.
  3. Go to public_html.
  4. Upload your files or extract a ZIP archive.

Option 2: FTP

  1. Create an FTP account in cPanel if needed.
  2. Connect with an FTP client such as FileZilla.
  3. Upload files to public_html.

For WordPress and other apps, follow the installer instructions included with your hosting package.
